Fugro Aperio is looking for an experienced Senior Geophysicist to be part of our ground geophysics division.
You will be expected to work on, and lead, a variety of geophysical investigations using various techniques. We require all applicants to have a minimum of 5 years experience working in near-surface engineering geophysics.
Your workload will be varied and challenging, ranging from leading and co-ordinating various projects in a range of demanding environments, to processing the data collected and producing reports. You will need to have experience with client liaison and managing project to budget and deadline. There is also potential for Line Management of less experienced geophysicists, so excellent leadership skills are a must.
Your experience should include GPR, ERT, EM, magnetics, seismic refraction and reflection and surface wave seismics. Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Geosoft Oasis Montaj are essential and any experience in Surfer or Voxler is desirable.
You must hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Earth Science, Geophysics or Physics and be able to fill a role within this team and adapt to various situations as they arise. You must also be self motivated and enthusiastic and be able to work autonomously, when required.
You will have a UK driving licence, a strong pride in your work and a good sense of humour. You will relish the challenge of travelling frequently (both in the UK and overseas) and undertaking work that is often both physically and mentally demanding.
